Anvil was founded by seasoned industry leaders Beliyu Semagnegzier and Robel Debebe to advance and sharpen the firm’s focus on strategic, financial, and organizational development. Anvil Consulting was born to ensure the continuation and expansion of the impactful legacy built under Icon—particularly after Icon’s franchise partnership with an international firm. By strategically separating its core consulting practice into Anvil, the founders safeguarded and enhanced the personalized, high-quality advisory services that clients had come to trust over the years.

Robel brings over 26 years of extensive experience in private sector consultancy and the enhancement of entrepreneurial ecosystems. He possesses proven expertise in developing robust business, impact, and financial strategies, alongside comprehensive feasibility studies and business plans for a diverse range of industries, from startups to large corporations across Ethiopia, Kenya, and the UAE.
His deep understanding of the Ethiopian business environment, honed through extensive experience in startup coaching, training, and developing specialized bootcamp and incubation programs, empowers Anvil to build robust, locally relevant strategies and drive tangible success for its clients.
